Yakkie is built as a private memory tool first. Sharing is deliberate, limited, and revocable. This page explains the product’s current behavior in plain language.

Private by default

What Yakkie keeps

Your profile, remembered products and photos, personal statuses, notes, check-ins, reminders, place memories, visits, lists, and preferences are account-scoped. Yakkie uses them to return your own context to you.

What sharing means

A shared product, collection, or pack cart includes only the fields shown in that sharing flow. Private health context and remembered-product notes stay out unless a specific sharing option clearly says otherwise. Access can be revoked.

Retailers and place providers

When you open a retailer, directions, or another provider, you leave Yakkie for that service. Its privacy terms apply there. Yakkie does not treat a handoff as a purchase or send your private health notes with it.

Using your current location

When you choose Use my location, your device’s precise coordinates are sent to Yakkie’s server and then to the configured place-directory provider to run that search. Yakkie’s current application code does not put the search text or coordinates in its error messages or rate-limit record. That private record stores your account, provider, and request time, and no automatic deletion schedule is currently defined. Returned directory place records, including place coordinates, may be stored. The provider’s terms apply to its processing.

You remain in control.

Settings lets you export your Yakkie record and permanently delete your account. The deletion flow removes the identity, private records, photos, invitations, grants, and protected access associated with that account.

Important limits

Yakkie organizes evidence and personal experience; it does not provide medical advice or make universal “safe” claims. Public community participation and business-supplied evidence remain staged until their own privacy and moderation controls are ready.
